Is there a way to id a cylinderhead as to what year it was off? I just finished a mini me swap on my bros 92 DX and everything went well but he wants to get a cam gear for it and I dont know what year the head was off.
Thanks, Ed

Odds are you need one from a `96-2000 non-Si (D16Y7 or Y8), if the head came from a `92-`95 Ex or Si (D16Z6). If your useing a Y8 head I have no idea what you need to use.

yes there are numbers on the head in circles and i believe its the last set of circles that shows the year (sometimes its upside down)

Y7 is the same as Y8 so either or...I thought Z6 was different?

The casting marks "should" on the front left (standing in front of car and looking toward it) of the head. Like P08-3 for example. Search for the casting numbers on the site once you figure out what they are...

I think I remeber seeing an 8 on it when I did the swap but I will make sure. I believe my bro said it was off an EX.
Thanks, Ed
