New And Need Help!!

Yeah i am new here and i just picked up a 89 or 88 dx 4 speed and i know that shit sucks.....so i am wanna throw in a zc but i dont know what else i neeed beside a the motor and tranny can anyone help me out here?????:confused:

well, using the search function works. or checking out the Archive...

but...if you are using the ZC trans, you will need the intermediate shaft as well as 90-93 teg axles. you will also have to swap on DX or SI hubs to fit the larger axles.

you will also need to do an mpfi conversion and run either a pm6/pm7/pg6 ecu.

Again I'm new too, but for the money and availability of parts, isn't the d16y8 a better option? Just putting that out there. And like above, not flaming, but the search button will help out immensely to help you find swap writeups, often time with pictures, a list of all parts needed, and all tools needed, very helpful.

the y8 swap might not be so easy considering the obd jump, with the zc you just keep it obd-0 and with the y8 you would have to convert the entire swap to obd-0 or you could convert it to obd-1 and get the jumper harness and run a p28 ecu.
