Ok... I see many Honda's running around town with chrome wheels on the fronts and black (totally different rims) on the rear. Thats just one example, you get the point, different rims on front vs on back.

Why do folks do that? Is that a trend thing or are they just running different widths and diameters? If so, why? I would assume the same reason a 911 has fatter tires on rear vs, front. But why the fuck would you choose black on the rear and chrome on the front?

Could it be they are upgrading all 4, but can only afford to fit two wheels at a time per paycheck or something? I just had to ask cause I see so many different cars like that.

Hmn.. maybe they just came from a street race? (I'm talking outloud here, maybe I've answered my questions).

for a while i had my steelies on front and 17"s on the rear, the steelies were lighter and had bigger tires and smaller diamter wheel, anyways when i used to try n street race, i would let air out of the front tires since they're the spinners and it imo was safer to do with steelies cus when air is let out theres still a lot of tire there to prevent blowout...cus like...lettin air out of a low-pro sucks balls

i kno yal luv me tryin to defend this lol

I have my street slicks mounted on some stock dunks. I put them on if im about to race and leave my rotas on the back.

the real answer...........they put on lowering springs and never got an alignment, or kept running into curbs blowing the tires......

Steelies FTW!
