I have a '92 Civic CX which I will be swapping a JDM D15B VTEC motor into. I have the engine, the wiring harness, and the P08 ecu. All I need now is a new tranny.... I can't find a good Z6 tranny anywhere, but there are a few Y8 trannies on eBay. I have heard that the Y8 trannies will bolt right up to a 5th Gen civic with no modification or fabrication. Is this true? Any input will be appreciated....

Thanks for the input.

Also, I forgot to ask earlier- Even if the Y8 tranny bolts right up, can I still use my original shift linkage and axles? Basically what I'm asking is, if I buy a Y8 tranny, will I have to buy anything else to make it work?
