d16z6 ftw; your motor likes boost, so you should give it what it wants

Actually, the Buddy Club 2 kit is the only one I would ever rock. Just because the guy that had the car before me, works there and had it on. It looks sick IMO....But I like the stock look too! :D

o dont get me wrong at all i love the stock look to, but i also just ogt the bc2 this morning and just did a fit test and have the front and back bumper on(not bolted) and it looks sooo good and clean.. hha i got the whole kit for 275...... the performance shop that sold it was moving and the new shop didnt have a show case so it was either sell it or dumpster it... so i got lucky!!!!!

ill get picks soon

dont trade your d16 for a b16... b16 is still a 1.6 and has no tq.. and for half the price of a swap you can turbo your car and have more power then a b18c5
( integra type r motor )

the car looks clean.. just the widebody stuff has to go.. but to each his own so im not going to rag on it... the d16z6 is a great engine to start with 1.6 with vtec it reacts pretty good with boltons.. depending on what you do.. like if u get cold air intake and exhaust, when you put a header on it.. it makes a lot of difference ( atleast it did with mine in the arse dyno ) and get it tuned...

but then if your gonna spend that much on a decent cai and header thats about half the price of the turbo setup..

youll figure it out with what you wanna do.. either way you go.... HAVE FUN DOING IT:TU:

hey i appreciate all this! o i will have fun too! the wide body kit did go and for the time being it has a buddy club 2 kit on... i planned on haveing a AEM cold air, APEX i n1 catback, DC header, pullys, short shfter, and then turbo... but i gotta get putr in a radiator and the body on before i go further.

again thanks for the help....

if your planning on going turbo.. dont waste your money on the cai or header.. just stay stock until u get the money for turbo

Dude, I wanna see some pictures of what it looks like with the current kit installed. No worries about how it looks. Everyone here loves these cars so you're in the right place!

It sounds like you've got a good upgrade list going. A lot of people find the pulleys a bit iffy, so be careful with that one.

Ive done my share of b16 swaps, one in a DA tegy, one in my 1997 hatch, and replacing a stock b16 witha built one into a friends 00 civic si. I would keep the d16. the b16 gets alot of love, but really its just a 1.6 honda motor with dohc vtec. it has two cams, one to control the intake side, and one to control the exhaust side, with two profiles (diff cam lobes) to control vtec and non-vtec functions. keep the d16, much cheaper, very reliable and tons of aftermarket support. then again...you did come to the d-series forum to ask that ? lol. imho, keep the d16 youll b happy. good luck with the car, looks nice
