I have a D16A9 non v-tec DOHC engine, what I want to know is...if I can drop in a set of "V-TEC CAMS"...and which type...and what else I would have to change....maybe the ecu...or if its just a straight swop.
I know alot of people have thought about this b4....is it possible or not?

the vtec cams use completly different lobs and firing order than the non-vtec motors. that and the vtec cams also have a second set of intake lobs (sohc) or second set of lobs period (dohc).

well...comparing the service manual to the engine i have the firing order was off...i think (not 100% sure) the book says 1,3,2,4...but the order that i found was 1,4,2,3...or something to that nature...i think the manual was showing the firing order for the non-vtec engine...this could of been a misprint as well, and if so then i am wrong about the different firing orders...
