id say run the 195/50
Its low enough of a profile it will look good, but tall enough to be safe...

you can safely run 195/50's, or 205/50's (best looking but slightly more expensive), or third choice 195/55's. Personally, I'd run the 205's, they fill up the wheel well just a little better and shouldn't rub, even with a decent drop.

You can run lower profile 15's (than 50 series), but they are much more expensive, harder to find, and will leave you with huge fender gaps, even if its slammed to the ground. If you are wanting even more tire, its possible to stuff a 205/55 in there, but I would highly reccomend dropping the car first then let the tire shop test fit the larger tire.

For anyone else wondering about tire sizes, you can find popular fitments on websites like tires.com (discount/america's tire co.) or thetirerack.com ( duh, tirerack, lol) They pay people to make sure your stuff will fit and look good, utilize their investment for your own good!

Is there any big difference in handling/performance or loss of performance between a 195/50 and a 205/50?

you probably won't notice a difference on the street, i would imagine you could feel a difference if you took the car on a road course tho...
my pic would be 205/50's... but don't get cheap out on tires...

< 205-50-R15 might rub a bit on the inners of the fenders and quarters with the car dropped 2 inches , simple solution though just bend them in a bit and you shouldnt have any problems , if you have any at all !
