I wanted to know if anyone is using or has experienced driving with a performace lightened flywheel? I have been wanted to get one for well over a year but have heard mixed comments on them. They say that 1st & 2nd gears are amazing creating lots of power and ultra quick revs. I live in high traffic areas and I've been told that it would be a challenge to drive in traffic using a performance flywheel. I've dealt with Fidanza in the past but they are MORONS that do not know how to differ Honda & Acura's when they manfacture their parts. Apparently AASCO is the ONLY company that makes perfomance flywheels for our 1986-89 Integras. Unfotuntely our AASCO flywheels are quite expensive, from $375 to $461.00. By Doing lot's of web surfing I came accross 2 places that sell AASCO flywheels at very good prices but one seems to good to be true. http://heeltoeauto.com/specials/index.htm has our flywheels for $295.00 and if I remember correctly + shipping. The other place is: http://www.hondasaverracing.com/product.i?sku=AASCOFLYW
but this place seems like a one man operation that probably sells form his garage. I tried e-mailing this guy and it doesn't work. I called a couple of times on the # shown on the web-site and it's a residence and the guy who answered said I must have the wrong#. Anyhow his price is $250.00 with free shipping but does not seem to be reliable or legit. If any members can share any experiences with flywheels or know of good sources of where to buy them you are welcome to post.
