i did a search but couldnt find anything but i have an hf manifold and a 14b turbo...what exactly do i need to do to mount the turbo to the mani. i read you need to cut the manifold and use an adaptor plate but where do i cut and where to get the plate?

Got Vtec?

You don't need to cut anything, you just need the adapter plate for the turbo.

does the t25 and 14b use the same plate?

If it's the T25 from a DSM then yes they do. DSM people use the 2G manifold as an upgrade for the 1G manifold all the time.

look on ebay for a T-25 or TD04h/14b Adapter plate for hf manifold. should run around 25 dollars also, check homemadeturbo.com.

BMC is an excellent company, with outstanding products. We are using one of their adapter plates on one of our project cars right now.

im going to be using the hf manifold and dsm turbo as well, will this allow me to retain a/c or should i be looking for a different setup ?....ive searched a couple pages and cant seem to find a clear answer on whether or not i can retain the a/c.

i doubt you will be able to keep the a/c using the hf manifold. Look into a log mani...........i recommend ccfab.

man thats sucks, i got a great deal lined up too. guess im not even gonna bother then cause the d/p and manifold will have to be scrapped. might as well just build a kit piece by piece so i know itll work.

well a while back when i was thinking of going turbo, i was also looking into an hf mani and keeping my a/c. I posted on turbod16 about it and they said that it has been done before, but its not worth the effort. They said that basically you need to make an adapter plate that goes between the mani and the head, that angles everything (turbo, mainfold, dp) away from the a/c unit. This was a long time ago, prolly about 2 years ago that i asked and i couldnt find the thread anymore....................but that was the information i recieved on keeping the a/c while using the hf manifold.
