i put my edelbrock intake manifold on today. it was a bitch. i had to fab spacers for the fuel rail to fit properly. and it is impossible to find long metric bolts so i had to drill, tap, and helicoil standard threads in there so i could use the right bolts. but now, my car has a horrible idle surge from 1500 to 2000. i am going to delete that stupid thing on the bottom of the throttle body and hope that helps. any other suggestions are welcomed. i dont think there are any vacuum leaks.

a good way to check if you have a vacuum leak spray throttle body cleaner around the intake mani where it bolts up. if you have a leak the car should run different. did you make sure you have got all the old gasket off. the factory paper gaskets are a bitch to get off! try it.
