i did a search and came up empty handed..........

has anyone ran into issues running high boost levels and using the stock half-sized radiator?

ive heard of heat soak happening due to the extreme temps of the manifold, but i figured heat wrap would take care of that probem.

You heard... but are you actually having these issues? if not keep that way.

If u have raising temps, you can...

Wrap the downpipe to make ex gasses run faster, and shield some heat.
Have alluminium radiator.
Replace the thermo valve (tehrmostat) for a quicker one (opens at lower temps)

Pretty much exactly what i was going to say....I am currently running the XS power Alum rad that i got on Ebay....It was around 150 bucks and it is acutally very good quality....When i took it out the box it impressed me hahha....just another good knock off of a fluidyne rad....I am also running a cooler thermo temp as well....It takes longer to warm up....but will stay a tad cooler when you are not thrashing the shit out of your ride....and well, if you do beat on your ride hard...."Road racing" "Auto X" etc, then it will help keep your temps in check that much better...Run an oil cooler too....just to complete the efficiency effect...hehe not neccesary but it helps...

My buddy personally ran 20 - 25psi with the stock single core half radiator and he has never complained of any temperature problem. Maybe the people you heard it from has a crappy radiator where all the fins are crushed.

If your really worried about it either A) look into an aluminum relacement or B) upgrade to a dual core oem unit.Im personally taking option A with a slim fan and ebay rad.

mine in the morning, will stay very low for alot longer until it comes up to operating temperature, after it will come up and read very slightly lower, eventualy it comes up to temperature like normal.....i just dont smash on it until everything gets to normal operating temps....doesnt take to long...but a bit longer than it used too..

I am using the stock thermostat, radiator, and fan. I have no problems so far, and I beat the shit out of my car.
