after a 2nd and 3rd gear pull i put my car in the drive way and let it sit for a good 5 minutes to find out that my temp. was just below H, so i turned on the heater to let it cool down and later found out that all my coolant was in the overflow tank. i mean the radiator was bone dry and overflow was overflowing with coolant. im really pissed because it cooked my bearings in the turbo, so now i have to buy a rebuild kit. what could've caused this?

I do believe that all the coolant leaving the engine and going into the overflow tank is caused by head lift under boost...I could be wong though...

Arp's and a new headgasket FTW. I had the same problem, this solution fixed it right away :TU:

:TU:, that's what was wrong with mine. The head gasket wasn't completely blown, but it was on it's way out. I replaced it with a fac honda one and some arp's, been doing good ever since.

How do you know the turbo is blown?

we took it apart and the journal bearing fell apart. it had a bit of shaft play when we put it on so i didnt expect it to last long.

do you think an oem headgasket would do?

timing plays a roll in the "head lift" problem.

I blew my oem hg with arp studs at only 10psi. Everybody else seems to have good luck with that setup.

Like everyone is saying it's headlift. ARP's and a new OEM metal headgasket is the cure.
