ok so im replacing the ISB in my 98 ex. i was working alone and without a proper tranny jack, just a normal jack with a piece of 2x4 on it. i was wiggling the tranny out when it slips off the jack and gets stopped by the friggin clutch slave cylinder line which i had tied off to the side. i stopped for a few seconds, not because i was shocked, but to marvel at how tough that clutch line is! to top it all off, the plastic clip that supports the rad hose broke :cussing:

anyways, i took some pics of the line so you guys can tell me if there is any damage. it looks ok to me, but what do i know? the outer sheath of the line got gouged in a few places, but looks like its only surface damage.

btw, i found a washer under the tranny when i pulled it out, i got no idea where it came from, so bonus points to whoever IDs it.

thx for the reply. its what i think too, but every manual i've read has stressed not to bend the hard line, so i guess thats why im worried.

another reason I like 5g, just flop the clutch slave other to the pass. headlight and it's all out of the way.........

No idea on the washer, but it's rusty and crusty.....and of a 6g :(

You should be fine though......

thx for chiming in bone, i feel much better now. i guess the moral of the story is, get a tranny attachment for $20 or risk messing up your shit.
