thinking about using a hydraulic clutch in my 90 ef hatch, just wondering what would be needed besides the tranny, for the swap and where i can get the parts

Just get a Si cable tranny and call it a day. There's really no good reason to put in a hydro tranny. And so help me god if anyone says "Most of them have lower miles!" by the time you fab everything to put in hydro tranny you could have bought a cable tranny and had it rebuilt.

Its not that hard, maybe a extra 2 hrs of work and hasport clutch kit if your using a mild or stock clutch. In the end just do what you want. PM me if you have any questions

I'm currently facing the same thing stuffing a B18B1 with a GSR tranny into a CRX. I'm a fabricator and I'm going to fixture up a tranny mount and either some bracketry/linkage to install a clutch master into the CRX or a nice cheap steel fabricated linkage that will bolt on the hydro tranny and allow the cable to activate it. There are more hydro trannys avail, they are tougher, and allow more upgrades. A couple of hours and I will have something together, stay tuned.........

We don't have any performance shop where I live, and the shop where I work has a punch press, welders, benders, and tons of scrap barrels to pick thru. I made the baseplate the custom tranny mount in about 10 minutes today. I should mention however, that I used to produce/sell the B-series EF mounts when the swap first got popular, and I still have a few of the bushings and stuff kicking around. It's just a matter of making the baseplate and jacking the engine into position with the other 2 mounts bolted up, take some measurements and finish welding up the tranny mount. Btw I think it will be possible for me to produce the tranny mount and hydro/cable conversion as a kit and sell them for about $175 if I have enough people interested. It all depends on quantity the more I make the cheaper all the bushings and laser cut parts get.

I've done some research alot of people are saying their cables snap when they use the linkage conversion on a hydro tranny, so I am going to try and fab up a hydraulic clutch master into the CRX. Looking at installing it inside the car on the firewall, will post pics when I get something figured out.
