Will a y7 oil pan fit on y8 block? I already have a tapped y7 oil pan for the turbo, and I'm to lazy to do it again...

yeah i got that, i was just wondering why he didnt just t off the oil pressure on the block rather than drilling the pan. i understand him using the pan though.

You can't use the oil sending unit (which is where the pressure sensor is) for oil return. Oil feed is "T'd off" the oil sending unit on the back of the block. This is the high pressure line that oils the turbo. Then the return comes from the bottom of the turbo's center section, and gravity fed back into the oil pan (which must be tapped witha bung to fit the line on) to be syphoned through the motor, again.
