ok.. so i have been reading alot on bone's post's about how the countershaft bearing walks out and causes the 2nd gear to pop out sometimes..
well im really getting sick of the dx tranny and ive been thinking of taking my ex tranny apart and fixing this issue...
is it pretty simple pull the case off and push the bearing back in?? or is it complicated...
im willing to try i got the tranny last year for 50 bucks.. and thats the only problem is it pops out of second sometimes.. it doesnt even grind at all..
thanks for the help trans guru's:TU:

tap bearing in, stake it in place.....
if it's a 88-95 tranny, expect to replace the 1-2 shifter fork also.

Flatfourfan thread is y0 friend. also, take a SHIT TON of pics, and make a thread to post them in and do it often. Also, take your time. There will be like 4 bearings that fall out of the case when you take it apart. Normal.

The Helms manual has what you need. You can order it or download a copy off the net at various places. I think I just downloaded it from hondahookup.

Y8 junk mounts, what you expect????????
I swear 92-95 Civics are the best.......sure 88-91's are lighter, but they are harder to work on.

Harder to work on? Are you nuts? I have been more pissed off working on my 92Si than I ever was with my CRX! Everything is in just the wrong place!
Filling your mounts is a great way to keep your tranny in proper working order.

Matt, go pull a tranny.....you'll see the difference there alone!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, put a 4-1 header in a 88-91 CRX.......wait, it don't fit :)
