View Full Version : Best turbo kit?

I was wondering who makes a complete kit for putting a turbo on my D16Z5? I am almost done putting mine in my 89 Sedan(except for wiring harness problems which is another subject!) and I want to go turbo now. I have to keep the stock internals so I am thinking no more than about 8 PSI is needed until I get back to the states of course!

i recommend not going that route, instead piece your own kit together.

that turbo is very arguable on its quality, and the manifold has terrible wastegate placement.

i cant believe they actually put a real greddy bov in their picture of the product........all it is is a greddy "style" bov, which has a tendency to be problematic.

That kit on ebay doesn't come with a down pipe! Also they say it's a direct bolt on kit for 88-00! A kit that will fit on a 92 and up will never fit a 88-91 without alot of moding...

Yeah when i get my bottem end built, i am going to do a nice lil Homemade kit, you cant go wrong!

homemade all the way. and btw, i rock that exact same manifold design with zero boost creep issues at 20 psi.
you can get that manifold on ebay by its self for around $100
