Not really high priority, but something I'm working on:
I just picked up some shocks off of a Dodge van and Ford Bronco(front ones). They're ALOT shorter than the stock shocks. The goal here is to lower the car a little but without sacrificing shock travel.
The springs will be preloaded to keep it from going down once the car is lowered(right now leaning towards AFCO 250 or 300lbs in the front and Prelude or Accord rears).
Anyways since I have the eyelet rear LCAs, it should be fit with a bushing for the bottom bolt and new pin/resized bushing. Only thing is there's no spring perch. I'm thinking of taking an ebay sleeve and just welding a top piece with a hold so it slides over the shock and rests on the shock body. The front will require the top hat to be modified to allow an eyelet type shock to be mounted(Reason is I don't want the front shock to be "double jointed" at the fork). I'm thinking of just using a "U" bracket bolted to where the normal shock stud goes(I believe Summit carries this piece)...Any suggestions? The front is actually inverted so that the stud is at the bottom and eyelet at the top. the stud/rod will mount onto a spring perch that will go into the suspension fork.
Attached is quick pic I threw together in paint.
Any comments, suggests, notes???
