I am buying an IHI RHB5 from someone and I need a mani to bolt it up to. I really want to keep ac and power steering. All mani's will be looked at as options, I don't care who they are made by even ssautocrap. I don't have any money for this, very tight budget. A mani that will help with spool would be nice also, I know this turbo spools rediculously fast already but the earlier I can spool it the better. Oh yeah it's on d16z6 in a 95 civic ex coupe. Plus I will need a downpipe.

Thanks everybody
Mitchell

I would recommend a Hf or CX manifold with an adapter plate. I made one with scrap 3/4" thick steel plate and a $50 drill press. I don't have pics with me or I would post them up. This will probably be the cheapest way to get you turbo'd. As for AC compatibility, it depends on how how skilled you are with routing your piping. It can be done, but it may be really tight.

That's what I was afraid someone would say. The piping shouldn't be an issue, I was either going to buy a piping kit for the car and modify it buy mandrel bends and have someone weld it up. So that mani should work with ac and ps with creative piping? what about the dump tube

The dump would depend on how you clock the turbo, meaning how you face the housings.

which way would be easiest, could I do it to where the down pipe was on the ac pump side?

you'd have to do it that way.

As for the manifold... I'm not sure what off the shelf manifold has the right bolt pattern. If you dont want to do the HF mani/plate you may have to go custom.

the hf mani/plate will owrk as long as I can keep all my accesories.

well you will have to put the compressor facing the passenger side. does your turbo have the cast dp on it? just do many test fits while making you adapter plate and slightly offset the turbo to the passenger side. you'll probably have to just put a screen on the turbo because you are going to be right on the slave cylinder.

This is the turbo I'm buying http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=55718 I'm not going to be doing the welding work or any of that, I can't weld. So i'll have whoever does it make the downpipe on that side. Do you think I will be able to run a 3 inch downpipe, would a 3inch even be worth it with this small turbo?

3 inch would be kind of pointless on that turbo. i think 2 1/4" would work well. your going to have to replace it once you get a bigger turbo anyways.

2 1/4" really? Would 2 1/2" still be overkill?

I got the turbo yesterday, My hf mani will be here next week and I still need an adapter plate for the turbo, or I need a log mani that will let me keep a/c.
