View Full Version : Stock rear sway bar?

My new 2dr doesn't have the stock rear sway bar, my 4dr does. Would it make a big difference if I put in on? If I swap it in it will be with my coilover setup, plus the lower control arms have energy suspension bushings already.

i dont see it being a problem, given you have all the hardware....

Difference it'll make depends on what you're doing. I'd definitely go for it though.

it's just a dd so only beating the car gets is around town, which is a good bit.

it's just a dd so only beating the car gets is around town, which is a good bit.well, you can handle corners a bit better and a bit faster as there will be less body roll in the rear with it installed so you'll have the opportunity to make it to work, beat rush hour and hit the grocery store a bit sooner ;) :D

steve-o you always come in with good info on my questions. Thanks everybody I will be doing the swap this weekend, full tein superstreet coilover set, rear swaybar, and rear lower control arms with energy bushings.

I got an itr 22mm sway on mine with an asr subframe brace and it's awesome. Good luck with it and rep for rear sways!

I just put it on yesterday, with the coilovers, looks so much nicer and handles like a friggin go-kart(no quite a miata but close I think).
