if one were to get the act streetdisk, would you need to change the flywheel, or would stock be okay?
also, is it worth changing from stock to that clutch?
sorry for the hijack, but it is pretty relevant.

im running a clutch specialties (act) stage 2 hd pp with a 4 puck solid hub...
its awesome grabs nice never slips.. only bad thing about it is that its kinda noisy and it chatters a bit sometimes

i think the guy i got the car from didn't really know how to drive a stick. i didn't put the clutch in myself.

what are your power goals?
deciding on a clutch without knowing that is pointless...

I agree. I think that exedy is crap also, but that's just my opinion.

^^ well not all of them. A couple of my buddies exedys crapped out within a couple weeks. Seems like a hit or miss type deal

was the flywheel resurfaced? was there a main seal leak? was there an input shaft seal leak? was it properly broke in? was the disk contaminated before install? was the flywheel or PP contaminated before install?
the list can go on and on. not saying anything bad about your friends, but 99% of the time failure is caused by user error

pretty much...
but i got mine because i was sick of the spungy pedal and i was sick of popping springs out of stock disc's launching on radials at the track.. have a solid hub. never had a problem for a year now
