Hey, don’t worry this isn’t a "why don’t my wrist pin's fit into my rods" question.

im looking for some info on honing the rod bushings i have searched but haven’t found what im looking for. i know the TT rods need honing to fit the wrist pin of the vitaras what im wanting to know is how much resistance should there be when pushing the wrist pin threw the rod?

1. very hard to push threw by hand
2. tight to push threw
3. slight resistance
4. no resistance

thanks in advance.

being in the uk is some times difficult to phone usa but will look into it.

how would i go about measuring the tolerance? measure wrist pin an then the bush? sorry if this sounds dum but never had to put together non standard pistons an rods before.

in the vitara manul it says the pin dia. is .7478"-.7480"(18.994mm-19.000mm) and say slip fit.

so hone the rod end to what u measure the pin and then just check it to see if the pin slides slow and thightly by hand. when u get there leave it.

make sure u use a good micrometer for all ur measureing. good luck!
