You can chip it yourself.

Yes, the rev limiter for the P28 is very simple to remove. Uberdata remove/modify it.

Now, of course, I must ask WHY you would remove it. One misshift and youre engine will spin off into oblivion. Based on your cam (mainly) your motor will have a peak power limit. There is no point in changing it with a stock cam. Especially if you're running the stock valve train which will surely starting floating, maybe DROP, valves at extereme RPMs.

..but anyway, to answer your question, yest ehre are programs out that that you can use to make chips that would remove/modify your rev limit.

backing up Jason...........

Stock Z6 running LOW 13's........

I still shift at 7,000 rpm even with a 8500 rpm ECU fuel cut and MSD spark cut at 7800 rpm.

I might launch at 7400-7800 rpm, but still use the lower shift point on a stock geared tranny.

I elimanated mine by mistake when trying to get rid of an electrical short. We removed some wire off the main relay and next thing you know the car doesn't redline! I took it on the turnpike and took it up to 8000rpms!!! Talk about a cheap mod 8)

Uberdata is a is a product, Blake Warner is the author.

He's a very knowledgeable guy that has put a lot of time and research into Uberdata. Check it out (and thier forum, browsed regularly by him, and the other contributors to the software) at http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata
