z6 distributor interchange

will a d16z6 distrubutor swap easily onto a d16y8 head? or does either have to be modified? if already answered a link? tried searching couldn't find anything thanks

Differant bolt patterns. Depending what car it's going into there's 3 dizzys to use for the Y8 head. OBD-0=A6 OBD-1=B7 OBD-2=Y8

A Z6 distributor has to go on a Z6

A Y8 and A6 distributor will interchange, they share the same bolt pattern, but the Z6 dizzy doesn't.

You can swap around internals of the distributor if you like.

95 del sol which i would like to keep obd1 so i am assuming my best option is the b7 distributor? thanks

yes the b7 is ur best option if u want to keep it obd1.

thanks thats alot easier than swapping internals! thank god i thought that was my only option and can keep my y8 head that i didn't want to sell anyways

good choice on the head. i have one also but i am planning on getting rid of it.
