I'll probably just cut the one I have. I also have another piece because this was a CAI but I just the SRI.

I actually love the purple hoses. I'm not liking the blue intake hoses though. I'm having trouble finding black ones though.

Looks nice, post up some pics when you're done.
When I get an Edelbrock piece, I'll try a swap on my mother-in-laws y7. It's cool having a mom-in-law that wants more power. :p

I have Intake, Header and Exhaust. I have D16Y8 Intake Manifold and throttle body.
I'm going to install the cam with new springs and retainers and later get a port and polish.

Thats the bit i was looking for. I spoke to delta before i ordered mine, whcih is on the way, they said it would require some headwork to get the best from it. A bump in compression wouldnt hurt either.....

i never heard that before...i mean as long as ur using the 190 injectors with stock Y7 ecu..so ur car isnt running rich..should pass smog the same..i mean all its doing is allowing more air to be pulled in and distributed better through the runners..i havent had my car's emission tested yet..soo yeah...

looks good, you know the bottom portion of you CIA can be used as a SRI intake for the y8 mani.

I don't even have a cat on the car so I'm not too concerned with emissions.
I'm using the Y8 rail and injectors. I have alot more air than stock so I shouldn't be running rich, especially after i upgrade the ignition with a modified MSD cap and rotor with an external MSD Coil.

honestly: on a SOHC honda, thewy don't look for a different mani.... they just look for the STD equipment.... if you get worries, just tear off the sticker under the hood and in a sharpie write:
Timing: 16Deg BTDC +-2Deg
the smog guy wont have a clue what motor your supposed to have.,... they will just see a complete setup with all required hardware. so you can smog a VX without a EGR, but you can't have the vaccum table for the EGR under the hood or you get pooped =)

yeah about that...say if i did drop in the Y8 injectors which i have...adjusting the dizzy/ignition will have the car not run rich?...or do i have to do OBD1 conversion..to get the right ECU...well i guess what my real question is..can i run the 240's with my stock ecu?...maybe an adj. FPR?...
keep me updated on ur setup....and tell me what the verdict is...i may just do the same thing as u...i mean more fuel wouldnt hurt...right :???:

if you hacked it with the FPR yeah.. but make sure the injector resistance matchs (old vs. new).
too much fuel can eat up your cat, and cause excessive buildup in your exhaust/ports/cylinders etc...
I remember lots of posts saying basically:
Running lean < Running rich < Running stoich
I would rather be rich than lean, but stoich is my homie!
Too rich is not a good thing over time....
I would say stick with ye old injectors on the new IM for now.... untill you can chip/convert =)
