I have a 2000 Canadian Si, which is basically an American EX. I recently had to buy an exhaust flex gasket, which was a pain in the ass to find. All the ones i kept getting were too small. I looked more closely and it turns out the car has a welded tubular 4-2-1 "header" instead of a cast manifold like all the other ones i've seen. Are these fairly common? Everyone i've talked to around here (California) has never seen one before. I'm 100% sure its stock. Btw, i did end up finding the right gasket eventually from honda.

Check out the "moosified" header. He got his from a D16Y8 off of a Acura IIRC(don't remember which model).

Acura EL's have that header. They are pretty much a copy of Honda Civic's.

Owner just swapped headers.

IIRC the cast mani disappeared off the y8 in '99.

Not much of a loss, the runners inside were rather small in comparison. Also '96-'98 samples o2 from runners 1-4, while the '99-'00 has the o2 by the cat to sample them all.
