So I installed my edelbrock header, but there is still a bit more to do. The first thing is the o2 sensor. How am I supposed to extend it to get it to fit in the bung on the lower portion of the header? ALl they gave me were 4 wires... And do I even need to have an o2 sensor? Cause they provided a "donut" to seal off the bung.
Second problem is that I screwed up one of those nuts that go on the top part of the manifold. It has no thread on it. So where can I get one of those nuts?

the o2 sensor... you're going to need to cut the o2 sensor wire...and crimp the given wires in between... for me i routed the o2 sensor from behind the distributor. i used a string to see what the needed distance was from the plug to the o2 hole... and yeah. i don't know about the second answer though. and yes, you need the o2 sensor or else you get a cel. but i ran with the o2 plug for a couple of days...and my mileage wasn't affected much...so i dunno about the other effects except the cel.

It's an 8x1.25 nut, shouldn't be too hard to find something to work. :)

first off id like to say that installing a header was almost as easy as my inake.
2nd off, you cut the wires for the o2 sensor and install the supplied wires. and lastly, a hardware store will carry a nut you can use.

That's nothing. Try doing a 4-1 1-piece on an EF. :mikej:

Ok i am still a little bit lost about what Im supposed to cut. Il go take pics of what I have to work with.
ALso, does am I supposed to torque the bolts of the header that connects to the cat to any specs and the sensor?

Not really, but torquing down the nuts that hold the header to the head might be a nice idea. I think it's like 18ft/lbs or 23ft/lbs.

Try DC Sports or another big header company and see if they'll sell you their wire extension kit seperate from the header. There's no reason to ruin perfectly good wiring.
Here's one: $18.95 (http://shopping.lightningmotorsports.com/customer/product.php?productid=782&js=n)

Thanks, but would that work for my car tho? Or are o0 sensors and the extensions universal?

That one is made for Honda 4-wire O2's, which you have. If you get one, make sure it is for a Honda, is a 4-wire extension, and is plug-n-play with factory-style clips.

the nut can be had at any autozone along with the stud its attached to because more than likely youll need to remove that as well. at least i had to when i installed my turbo mani. try vicegrips first and get Pblaster from autozone...way better than wd40.

now...but have you gotten the nut off yet?

Yes, and there is no thread on it. But the stud is perfectly fine. I though I screwed it up, and that the nut was fine, but the metal thread of the nut was on the stud, so I though the stud was fawked.
