I received a complete Intake Manifold, Throttle Body, Fuel Rail and injectors with all sensors. I disassembled the whole thing and scrubbed and soaked the bare manifold in hot water with Palmolive Oxy dish soap and brillo.
I dried it off and polished it with Mothers aluminum polish and a sock. It works really well. Polished the rail and ever the injectors.
I cleaned the injectors and injector filters. I'm in the process of doing the throttle body. I think I'm gonna polish the inside of the TB with my Dremel.
I just picked up an awesome 263 piece Craftsman Mechanics tool box at Sears.
$169.00 only today they had 1 left at the Staten Island mall.
I post TB pics when I'm done.

I used brake cleaner on the injectors and the little nooks I couldn't get it. Also so Air intake cleaner.

Was there any/much crap inside? My car has 70,000 kms on her.Just wondering if this is purely cosmetic or not?

I did it mostly for cosmetics. There is some carbon build up inside still. I may polish the runners and TB inlet and also soak it in some solvent to get all the carbon out. It isn't easy to get out. It is very hard, almost part of the IM. I'll do my best.

Hmm... Seems like it's TOO thorough for me lol.
I would be happy with just degreasing my engine bay and pressure washing it instead of doing all that work ;).

My old Y7 IM was a crusty piece of schizz before I used a little acid on it and some Maaz polish. I hated letting it go to a happy eBayer a while back.
