centerforce clutches.........are they shit?

hey everybody I bought a centerforce dual friction clutch for my d15b and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them because I had someone on here tell me their crap. I bought it already so I'll probably run it either way but I was just wondering what everybody else thought.

i ran the Centerforce stg2 on my turbo a6 setup. ran 12psi on a t3 with no slippage issues whatsoever. nice pedal feel, not too stiff, grips great!

Hell of a ? to ask since you already bought it but i've got one for my ek havent installed it yet but i new of a few people running them and they had nothing but good to say about em.

yea I was just wondering because I always thought that centerforce clutches were quality thats why i bought it and I got a really really good deal on it, but somebody told me that all they had were problems with it.

I loved my USED Centerforce Dual Fricton setup I was given. It held 75 shot of juice and launching at 8500 rpm on slicks.........

until I upped the injectors, then it slipped in 4th gear.

That was 2002, I'm still running the pressure plate with a Exedy OEM replacement clutch.......

my friend had the dual frictoin centerforce in his car it was nice...

but my 50 grit sandpaper'd flywheel and stock 50grit pp with a stock organic disc grabbed harder then his did

i hated mine on my turbo d16a6 with si tranny mine blew to pices at 10 psi goin in 3rd at 8500 rpm. befor that i couldent get ti to stop slipping adjusted the clutch cable about 20 times befor it worked ok.. alway have gave brake in time and every thing never seemed to help.. i had 2 start sliping on my b series crx. i like act and exedy a few outher brands more. infact i would almost reather have a stock one i have had a few of those that lasted for ever..

sounds like you fucked up during install. maybe unknowingly getting oil or some other substance on the pp or flywheel. there are a lot of things that could get it to slip that easy, but if installed properly on a flat and clean flywheel it should hold just fine

nope always very carfull about that i usly use brake cleaner to clean it befor i put tranny on. brake cleaner that leave no res behind.. never had a problem with any outher clutch but cf. i had a cheap auto zone one last longer than my last cf i wont ever buy anouther one agin.. the flywheel was resurfaced.. could have been the big drag radial's and the boost the boost gage that was not working right. car was beating alot of cars it shouldent have..

99 camaro ss not slipping
b16 crx on 75 shot slipping
99 si built b16 3.5 cars slipping
built r.t neon cams pistons ect. 3 cars. slipping.. probully mid to high 13 sec car. on dr

no tune.. just injectors anda pr3 ecu with no rev
