Hose Connections??

Ok this is the only thing i need to be answered and then the engine can get dropped in asap..where the blue arrow is.. that hose is actually supposed to be where the red arrow is on the water pipe. When i go to connect it that way, the plug were the blue arrow is will be left open. That blue plug is for the engine oil cooler, but i cant find it anywhere on the engine. Could i just put something in that hole to plug it up considering it wont be used???? would it hurt anything???

yeah you can plug it but make sure its well sealed
