Just figured id say hello to all the fellow d series people out there in the show off fourm instead of the Introduction form because i figured you may want to see my car. First my name is Chris and im 17 and are a junior in high school. Im new to this site but know some things about Honda. I currently have a 1993 Honda Civic Hatch CX. Yes it has the d15b8 which has only 70hp. I plan on swapping to a d16z6 unless i find someother things better to do when i search this site. I came to this site in hope to find new information on my d series motor. Ive always been the "swap for a b series" kinda guy but am now starting to like the SOHC. So here is my ride and some differnt phazes its been through from a little rice to pretty stock now hoping to be more JDM styled by spring. Pics in order top to bottom (First bought to recent)

Current Mods are:
Short Ram Intake
2 1/4 full exhaust with high flow cat
Tenzo R lowering springs(Just ordered coilovers though)
Front sway bar (rear should be in soon)
Seats with harness
JDM taillights (Look just like USDM but have no third little light)
Projector headlights( a little ricy for me but i kinda like them)
15' gold with polished lip wheels on the way in about 2 weeks

Thanks again guys...and if i had a dollar for everytime i explained what the first year driver badge was id have like......17 bucks. Anyways i painted my whole car for 38 dollars with buying a gallon of paint from Murrays and some reducer. Cheap paint job and did it mostly for protection in the winter. Came out better than i though and whith my wet sanded finished today most of the orange peal that showed up is gone.

Future mods:
-D16Z6 ( i want to find a cheaper motor and read up excatly how to get vtec into my non vtec car. Only a couple wires right?? Plus a oil switch?)
-Tires for my wheels
-Home made turbo for the Z6
-Spoon CF front lip and 'duckbill' spoiler
-JDM front fog lights
-I have NRG quick release hub with MOMO 'style' steering wheel ( didnt have enough for a real one yet. Dont worry i wont pretend its the real deal)
-CF hood

I probally have other things too, figured this was about it for the next few months. ( minus the Z6 unless i find a decently cheap one) Here is a pic of the wheels i bought. They are 15 by 7's. SRX wheels. $390 with lugs and shipped.

Had to do some tint mods on my car. Got a tint violation today from a state trooper as i was cruising down the freeway. Tint was easy to get off.....but the nasty goo it left behind sucked. I didnt really care for how dark the tint was anyway. It was tinted when i purchased the car. So here are a couple pics with the tint gone! Sorry but im no photographer so the pictures a dark with fuzz but i blame my moms camera being stuck on auto. I couldnt set the ISO low or play with exposure or white balance so,......Enjoy!

yeah that residue from the tint is a helluva biotch to get off...I think I used acetone to get mine off ...but gotta give props again on the hatch!
please hurry up and get some tires ...cause its going to look killer with those wheels:TU:

BTW..be careful with those lugs that come with wheels for free...they tend to be cheap and strip out easily and cause one hell of a headache...

So do I.....To tell you the truth there was orange peal all over every panel of my car. After 6 hours of wetsanding, 2 hours of buffing, and 1 hour of claybaring the paint is finally starting to look clean. Hopefully a few more buffs and shell look nice and flat.

Only took about 1 hour to install. The hardest park was disconecting the SRS unit. Then it was a breeze. Didnt have to use a steering wheel puller, just one really hard tug and the wheel came right off. Its a NRG unit with a knock off wheel. I know, i know, i should have bought a momo or something but for 15 dollars i couldnt pass it up for now until christmas. Sorry for crappy pics but it was poor lighting.
