I'm starting to put together a z6 build but have a few questions. I picked up a z6 block for free with about 80k on it, one of the pistons has a hole into the ringlands, but generally looks in good shape. Ill be building it with the following bits;

Vitara pistons 75 or 76mm?
TT rods
ARP head studs
oem head gasket
New bearings and water pump

How do you know if the block needs to be bored out, decked or honed?
I was going to get it honed anyway but would boring it out to 76mm and using the appropriate vitaras be a better/safer option?

Going to be using a t28 at about 11psi with crome.

with that setup you better at least run 16psi haha.

the only real way to see if you need to have the block decked etc. would be to take it to a machine shop. if it was me id just give her a quick ball hone and be good to go.

id love to take it to a machine shop but dont know of any near me? (kent,uk)
are there any visable signs or things i can check?
also will i notice any difference (positive or negative) to using 1mm oversized vitaras apart from possibly preventing piston slap?
