Anybody have any experience with these? How long do they normally last?

what do you have that you need a stage 5?

Its a race only car I'm building for drag. I plan to be using a 150 direct port
nitrous. I really need a clutch that will hold luaching at a 100 shot then using
a progressive nitrous control to up it to 150 by 3rd gear. Do you think the Stage 4 or 5 is to much?

This CM setup was plenty for launching on 100 shot and 22x8x13's.......

The slicks didn't stand a chance :)

4 is a nice clutch; incredible hold but it's sprung which is nice for your trans.

is your only power-adder that 150 shot?

wear for a race car would probably be very good; it didn't last all too long on my old juiced y7, but that was daily driven. really it depends on the use. i ran a 6 puck stage 4.

Yes that will be my only power adder. So it should last at least a season?

Yes that will be my only power adder. So it should last at least a season? it should, yes...again, if you are slipping it alot, or contaminate it, then obviously it'll wear alot quicker, but...it should def withstand a season's worth of abuse, if not more considering it's a race car with solely a 150 shot.

just keep and eye on your thrust bearings......they don't like the stiff pressure plate!

I'm assuming the ones on the crank. What should I be looking or listening for?

Thanks

really, stiff (i assume you mean high clamp) pressure plate? how so? i've never heard that.

as far as damage causing agents, i've always known that unsprung hubs kill stuff on the tranny side, i learned that personally a LONG time ago ; )

but i never heard about plates.

when you press down on the clutch, your trying to shove the crankshaft out of the block.

Ask some DSM guys about using an ACT 2600 setups......
