Hi..
I have a 94 VX hatchback and I have a heavily modified "no turbo" D16Z6 I just built to put into it..
I know the ratios on the stock VX Trans are for fuel mileage so I want to replace it with an EX transmission.
My question to your knowledgeable group is; will I need anything else besides the transmission when I install it? That is, do the axle shafts have the same splines and are they the same in length etc. ?
Anything else that I should be aware of so I don't have any surprises during the swap?
Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge..

not too much is to be worries about... but I recommend getting axleshaft seals for the tranny, and using honda MTF to fill it.

It might be a good time to do front wheel bearings (if over 300K miles) just as a precaution.

Everything else should be ok as long as your swapping a 5spd for a 5spd.

It doesn't hurt to replace ALL old hoses in your engine bay... it will save you from a catastrophy later... trust me... when you do a swap... 75% of the time within a year a hose will go out.... just my .02

good luck with your swap... your gonna be amazed at tahe difference in power.
