I just installed a short shifter on my 95 coupe. Went to take a test drive and the 2-3 shift is a pita. I didnt replace the bushings yet they should be here this week hopefully. Is this normal or is there any kind of adjustment that can be made. Kind of reminds me of driving the dump truck. I have to make sure the shifter is centered before going into 3rd. Sorry about this question I had a 01 cavalier Z24 and put a short shifter in and that was the sweat shift. Thanks in advance......

IMO that was a bad investment. Shoulda keep the stock shifter.

short shifters dont make your transmission grind, not knowing how to shift makes it grind... just ask transzex

http://www.fastlineperformance.com/shifter.htm Check it out explains a lot i was talking about .
Yup, the Fastline shifter is the only one worth getting. Will def. be getting one over the winter. With a race seat and 4" spacer on the wheel, even the stock shifter is a PITA to reach and shift in my car.
