im getting a check engine light for the speedo sensor #17. Im totally lost because the speed sensor on my tranny is a cable, and the one hydro is electronic. Any ideas on what to do?

Is your speedo working? If not, make sure the cable is seated in the trans all the way.

yeah it works fine. i just get a code.

Hmm, weird. I had the same exact setup last year without any problems except when the cable wasn't in all the way.

its a 1989 crx si, a d16z6 w/ original crx si tranny. p28 ecu.

speed sensor is in the cluster. do a google search, there is a way to test it with a voltmeter
