ENGINE GOVENOR QUESTION

has anyone ever heard of one working only sometimes. out in utah i hit 128 i know its all my civic will ever c but damn it i did it. in sc now the most i can hit is 117-120 my govenor kicks in, i didn't think civic's had govenors on them btw it is a 95 honda civic dx 4dr sedan with d15b7 engine and i belive a po5 ecu

why a po5? my b7 has a po6 and 130 is not a prob.

you are right i messed up it is p06. mine didn't have a problem the first time what has possibly changed

D15B7's STOCK ecu's were speed limiter to 116 mph........

My D15B7 with a P28 ECU went 134 mph, radar verified!!!

Did you have to chip the p28 to make it work in the d15b7 I am thinking you probally did, but just verifying. Did it help your engine a lot?
