Got the driver side lighting ran through the "fender rail." Not a hole lot other than that. Thought I might get some new pictures.
Don't have a lot of time at the moment to work on it, between all the other things I've got going on.
Been touching up the ITBs as well.

So I'm debating on what engine setup I want to try. Any advice is appreciated.
d15b2 bottom with a6 cam. Possibly mill the head and run a y8 head gasket for close to ~10:1 compression.
or
d16a6 bottom, bored out 20 thou, p29 pistons, a6 head, a6 cam, ~11:1 compression.
I'm not looking for power, I just want something fun to drive around, daily. Good gas mileage.
b2 should be cheaper, because the engine hasn't been taken apart yet.
the a6, I will need to pay for honing and new pistons/rings. The a6 I recently rebuilt, so it's got new bearings in it, but the hone job sucked or something, because it uses oil.
I'm leaning towards the b2, because it's something I haven't tried yet. and the 10:1 compression is a little more desirable for fuel mileage. as well as the r/s ratio being a little more ideal.
thoughts?

I'll get some this weekend.
who's tried the b2 w/ a6 cam? I've hear it's AWESOME!!!!^T*&@#!@##*(# but how does it compare to a ~11:1 stock head a6
kyle h.

I just posted this somewhere else, but I'll add it here. I just traded my gt3s from the del sol for some gsr blades, so the del sol will rock them for a while, then the wagon gets em.

I'm almost done with the ITB setup, need to finish up the adapter plate. And the vac manifold and IACV plate, and throttle cable bracket. Those items shouldn't take me very long to do, so I've been putting them off.
I pulled apart a d15b2 to use the short block with a milled head and a6 cam. I have a friend trying to sell me a dohc zc...but the itb manifold wont fit that head, and I've got a lot of time into it. What do you guys think?
Don't mind the messy garage, and the tuck hasn't progressed much.

DOHC ZC would be a better option in my oppinion. or an A6. i would go with the A6 if you can get your hands on one. or just put the B2 in and swap in a 1.6 block later.

thanks guys.
the engine that is in it right now is an a6 (sohc zc really) with pm7 pistons, it's beat, burns oil, I never tuned it and it has detonated a few times very audibly.
I like the looks of the single cam over the dohc zc, i like the b2s flat top pistons and 1.59 r/s and the lower displacement for some reason. Not really looking for power, just something to cruise in reliably.

Well, Since I haven't done much with this thing lately, I took off work yesterday and got some things done.
I also finished painting another room in the house and burnt the grass for mulch/flower beds and ordered some mulch.

04-13-2007, 12:04 PM
no, there are no braces for the itbs. I need to buy a vice so I can make a bracket for the throttle cable :|
Took off again today, getting some things done with the house mainly.
We have an iron bacteria infection in our well. Trying to douche it out with some chlorine. Not too much fun.
Going to snatch a maple tree or something from the woods later. Painting a bathroom right now. Probably work on the car a bit later, after dark maybe...

todd, who is phil?
Body work is another project with this thing. It was in sweet shape, just needed a hood. and the my step sister backed into my passenger door, and my step dad and sister both denied it. anyways lame fucking shit, but I need a hoo,d door and could use a front bumper too. plus it got some rust on it when it sat for about a year, because I hadn't washed it for a long time.
still got plenty of time to think about body work tho..

kyle h.
05-29-2007, 10:52 AM
Two 4 liter bottles of carlo rossi, 1/4 full one in my right hand, 3/4 full one in my left hand. They tapped together, the bottom broke out of the full one. The piece flipped over and crashed into my foot. I was wearing sandals.
At first I thought I got lucky and the bottom of the bottle had landed on my foot, because all I saw was an indent on the top of my foot and the floor was covered with sangria. So I put the top half down that was still in my hand and stepped back. Looked down at my foot again and noticed the skin had retracted and there was a large hole in my foot and something was twitching inside. Surprisingly I didn't loose a lot of blood.
I'm told there are 15 stitches outside and 5 inside. It was kinda cool seeing the inside meat of your foot.
