I have a couple d15b2 engines laying around and im thinking about rebuilding one and replacing the ailing one in my civic. the problem is both of them are well used(200k+) and burn quite a bit of oil. Im planning on getting one bored out slightly oversized and useing new pistons and rings. However I'v heard from a few people that you can't bore out those engines b/c there's not enough metal there.
I was wondering what you guys thought about that? and also if anyone knew where to get oversized pistons and rings for that engine?

yes you can bored, .020" (.5mm) over is the max recommended, but people have done .040" (1mm) over before on stock sleeves.

but, IMO, a good honing should be sufficient enough, then you can use standard size rings and the stock pistons.
