PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING IF YOU EVER HAVE HAD SOMETHING BAD ON YOUR CREDIT I HAVE A QUESTION AT THE END!!!!! THANKS

ok here we go 2 years ago i leased a townhome with a person that i was friends with for like 8 or 9 years we both were into cars he owned a local tuner shop it was pretty damn fun times! our lease had mine and his names on it the lease was for 1350 a month water included ect.....

we ended up needing out of the lease (ME AND HIM both being retarded) didnt sign a agreement to leave DUH i knew i was in for it so whatever. The total we owed was 5200....2600 a piece!

welp im a man i owe up to my debts so i contacted the place that we leased from attempted to setup payments well in the mean time the owner of the company already took it to a debt collector and my so called friend up and move to las vegas! yay for me!

so for the last 11 months ive been paying 150 a month to a lawyer for the debt collector to keep them from garnishing my wages no biggie everyone messes up i learned my lesson.well i wanted to get rid of the bill so i offered them 1500 lump some to take my name off the debt and only go after him for the rest of it. they took it and now im done paying woohoo. thats 3150 i paid total to the debtor i paid. I was only suppose to pay 2600. MY FIRST QUESTION is how are my means of getting my 550 from my "friend" going to play out. I have his ssn from the lease i have his addy in vegas and everything so what do i do? file at my local courts for him to be supeneaed (sp) and pay me my money owed? if he doesnt show up to a supenea will there be a warrant issued for him? I have the "letter of satisfaction" from the laywer and they are submitting it to all 3 credit burues to have this takin off my credit! MY NEXT QUESTION is how do i contact the 3 credit agencies to make sure it gets showed as paid and gets takin off mine??????? SORRY ITS LONG BUT YEA!!!!

Getting your money back is between your friend and you. If he doesnt give you the money, then you go to court.

"I have his ssn from the lease i have his addy in vegas and everything so what do i do"

tell your lawyer to get ahold of him. He should talk to him, and get it resolved, or if nessecarry, filing suit on him will be the next step

for the supenea, Yes, a warrent will be out for his arrest, but they will give him an option, either money be taken out of his pay checks, or they will need the money strait up.

For the credit agencies, Your laywer should contact the business, or who ever you owed money too, and they will contact the credit businesses. Now, Im not totally for sure about that, but I do know is that you will still have about 3-9 months of bad credit on you.

You call the collecter direct and make sure that they put it in as paid as agreed. Then go to freecreditreport.com and make sure it's not on there. Your credit will go up once the creditor turns it in as paid as agreed.

Your credit wont go up right away. It takes awhile. Trust me on that part.

i despise the whole credit ratings system. make a few boo boos here and there, and they nail you to the cross for about SEVEN YEARS here in Canada :TD:

i have one credit card, one loan, and a few other debts i'm paying off quickly right now. when all is said and done next year and my debtload is clear, i'm keeping one credit card, getting a sears credit card, i'll pay all the balances off each month and paying cash for everything else :TU:
