Hey guys, I just bought an 89 Integra that needs a head gasket. I m going to pull the head off and was just wondering if there is a better head to replace it with. Please excuse my ignorance when it somes to this stuff, but I am definitely not knowledgable when it comes to Honda motors. I believe the engine code is D16A3 which is a ZC motor right?
just resurface it and put it back together.

yup, toss in the zc cams and you have the same hp. the 88-89 integra has 118hp and the zc 130hp do to the cam having a higher lift.

yah ebay some zc cams, easily found, good for some extra torque
You will need adjustable cam gears in order to use 2g ZC cams. 2g ZC's use a 34T cam gear and your integra D16A1 uses 40T cam gears. Because of the cam gear diameter difference, the keyway is in a different spot when the cams are set at 0 deg. You can compensate by using 40t adjustable cam gears. Just install the cams using the 5mm dowed method described in the Helm manual. The cam timing on the gears will look whack, but if set with the dowels, it's all good.
I have a d16a1 with 2g ZC cams.

No, it's ZC only if it says ZC 8)
