hello im new here. i got a 89 civic dx 1.5l. I recently blew the timing belt and in the process of either fixing it or swaping(depending on if the valves are bent) but i heard about this engine that it will bolt right up to my car and able to run.

Is this true? and if so wat do i all need to do it.. Also what is the price and time ut hink this would take to do.. thanx you all in advanced.. i plan on stickin around for this forum a while.. haha thanx

"this engine" Im assuming you mean dohc zc? Yes it will bolt into your factory mounts and to your stock transmission, there is a tad bit of wiring to be done and a few other odds and ends, try using the search feature Im sure you will find what you are lookin for.

your car runs dpfi, you have to change to a mpfi setup, go to www.rywire.com help you with all you need

thax .. this is mainly wat i was looking for.. how much u think it would be to do this all. approx.. and where is the best place to look for this engine..

any jdm importer, IE : ebay, or hmotorsonline for the best prices. rywire is a little pricey but extremely time saving and worth its weight in gold, a typical dohc zc should run 500-550 plus shipping. about 700 shipped in most cases thats without a trans, your stock dx trans will bolt up and work fine

i got my d16a1 for 150bucks... Looked threw it and doesnt seem like anything is wrong... so i believe thats a good deal.
