View Full Version : Broken wideband?

I was driving back from lunch today and I hit a small bump. Bottomed out ever so slightly. The next time I glanced at my wideband, a PLX M300, it only reads 14.7 no matter how hard I gas it. Could the bump have damaged the sensor? It was not a hard bump at all, in fact it's been through much much worse. Is there anyway to fix it? New sensors from PLX are around 80 bucks and I'd rather not spend the money on it if I dont have to.

EDIT: I replaced the sensor and it's working now

Have you checked the actual connection on the cable? I've taken my m300 through hell and back and its never given me a problem

I had problem with my m300....I send it to plx and they repair it!(I pay the repair, my unit is 2-3 year old)

Check the plx web site forum, there is a list of what to check to know if your sensor is bad or if it is your m300 box!

Buy your sensor from VW....I pay 60$ can for a new sensor!

Mike, I think I have 3 bosch sensors kicking around right now... If you can wait until next weekend we could try em out...
I'm going to be looking into putting the r500 in pretty soon also but still need to figure out where and how to mount it

Trip was great...
Went to 5 diff junkyards but couldn't find worthwile honda parts... It seems that wrecked civics are being sent to Africa these days, and wreckedintegras are being snatched up by racers...

I did however buy an electric power steering pump and plan to swap my current manual rack to an integra p/s rack, and I'll be able to turn p/s on when I want it and off when I don't... That means that car will be driveable by girlfriend and maybe I can get her into autoxing...

How was the party???

Cool man! Sounds like a fun project. I hear ya with the PS, turning your steering wheel takes a good amount of strength. :P

The party was great!! Everyone had a good time and said it was over the top. I was doing fine until I drank Paige's witches brew... Vodka, Midori, pineapple juice. After 3 of those I must have passed out because later I woke up in my bed... naked. I hope I was molested. :)
