I just wanted to know if a bolt up of the y8 IM to a dohc head is possible?

thanks

nope, bolt pattern is COMPLETELY different

for example, here is an a6/z6/y8 gasket laid onto a ZC/A1 IM

NOPE def not, DOHC ZC is limited on part interchangeability between hondas....if thats what you are lookin for then Id pick another engine

reason is asked is because i may be getting some itbs that are setup on a y8 imtake manifold flange. I have a 91 civic sitting at home with a ZC in it and thought itb's would be a nice setup for it. I guess i could just cut the zc manifold up and put it in place of the y8 that is on the itb's right now. Is that possible?

its possible but a hell of a lot of work for only a small gain

small gain for an itb setup over stock setup? why is that?

ITBS are not a huge hp gain, not like a turbo, nitrous or s/c. Sure a few ponies over stock, but with ITBS there is alot of headache involved, itbs on a stock engine is a dumb idea anyway, itbs are a to top off an engine build not to begin one....putting the cart before the horse....For example a freind of mine has an ls vtec it dynoed 191 then he added itbs and it made 196. He spent close to $2000 on itbs.you do the math.....sure his trq numbers increased greatly but his hp numbers barely moved.....do some reasearch first, try using the search feature here.

hey you could also go to zcspeed.com and they are now making an adapter kit to put SOHC D series mani's onto the DOHC...... I have seen some pretty nice ITB setups on DOHC ZC's, they are some times a pain in the but to tune also which is one reason i am not doing it right now....but if you can get them for a decent enough price why the h**l not.... but that is just my opinion....
