I have 2 different wideband o2's in mind, and am considering, but im still undecided as to what one to get...

i am torn between the plx m300 and the ngk wb o2... what are some differences between these? do i need a narrowband output to datalog? or do i need a wideband output?

any opinions or input would be greatly appreciated :)

I've got the PLX M300. I love it. It was easy to wire in for my stock o2 sensor before i went turbo. Then when i went turbo i just hooked up the wideband output to the ecu was all set.

PLX FTW!

what's your budget?
do you need a gauge?
do you need programmable outputs?
what's the sensor cost to replace?

if you don't need a gauge (which 99% of people don't actually need one) the innovate LC-1 is the best sensor available, period. it has both simultaneous wide and narrowband outputs (which are fully programmable), it uses a cheap bosch sensor ($40 from VW to replace) and only costs $212 shipped new from innovate.

im running the ngk.. it was simple to hook up and datalogging is easy....

Make sure you put the sensor at least 16" downstream from the turbo. If the sensor gets too hot it can get damaged.

I've had a PLX M300 for over a year. Works great :TU:

you can use a wideband....tune without a gauge?

can you tune (boost per say) without using a gauge? (thread jack?)

can you tune (boost per say) without using a gauge? (thread jack?)yes, as long as your tuning program has datalogging

no, the better question is... how CAN you tune with a gauge? you MUST datalog..... you'll never be able to keep track of the changes in AFRs over varying engine load and RPMs without logging

i also tuned a bud's GSR, but only datalogged for the first 20 minutes...

yeah im a noob to tuning and everything, but im quite sure you dont HAVE to datalog... i will datalog in the future, but right now its just not in the budget.

why not? $10 off ebay for a nokia DKU5 USB cable. CROME with quickRTP. connect to a laptop with freelog... datalogging for next to nothing

i'm sorry, but you simply cannot get an accurate tune without it

^^^ of course you cant get an accurate tune, and the cable, etc is in my budget, sure. i probably have 10 dollars in quarters right now.

if you want to send me a laptop then ill datalog, just for you.
