Venting a problem

Well maybe 2months ago I was chased in my car by people I dont even know. They chased me for a good amount of time till they hit me. And caused 3000 dollars. And I left and took off towards home maybe 4 blocks away. Keep in mind I have no clue who they are and they forcefully hit me. And they ran off. Now I had no license plate number or nething. So the next day Im driving around back tracking and showing a friend how it happened and found the car. So called the police and he made a agreement to pay me 100 bucks a week till damages were paid for. Well almost 2 months and nothing. So the cop and I have decided to go ahead and file the charges and im getting my lawyer and goin to court. Now I feel like If I drive my car I will always have to be looking over my shoulder or that they might be looking for payback or something if i take them to court. I mean i gotta do what i gotta do to get paid since they didnt have insurance and i had to pay to fix my car with my own money......

damn that blows man, I would have sued for everything up front. I mean cutting a deal with someone with no insurance and has an obvious rage problem would not cut it in my book. Situation like that sounds like I'm suing for damages, pain and suffering, "neck" pain, and assault with a deadly weapon (ramming you with their car).

But good luck getting the rest of cash man. Keep us posted on what happens, I'm interested now.

payback is always possible, but don't let that stop you from what you rightfully deserve. they did it to you so they have to respond. my best advise is take them to court and while you're at it explain your fear so you can get a restraining order. remember, it's not wrong to fear retaliation. it is wrong if that fear paralyzes you. once you let it happen, they win and you lose. hope it helps.

im not sure what they are all gonna charge him with...they started the paper work and if he dont sign he get warrents...they wont let me have a copy of the report unless i have my lawyer get it and what not....but goin to court and getting what they deserve...maybe attempted murder? and my damn money

They were beating him and shit telling him to get out of the car. I guess he floored it and got out of there some how. I think it was 2 summers ago.

I'm not sure what the fine is called when you hit somone on purpose with intent to injure.
