I posted this on here before, but i still need help.

i keep getting a CEL for the knock sensor. i swapped in a y8 head onto my y7 block and i am using the y8 ecu. the knock sensor light keeps coming on and throwing the ecu into limp, car feels sluggish and the vtec doesnt feel like its kicking in. i tried plugging in a knock sensor into the ecu pin but not connected to the block, then tried providing it with a grounded wire to the sensor itself, but no luck...... still getting the knock sensor light... Help please!!!!! need to get my car running right....

ps. someone else on this sight told me that his y7 block had a knock sensor on it. but when i checked mine against the factory service manual, all i could find is an engine coolant temp sensor and a oil pressure sensor.

the y7 dosent have a knock sensor, but the block is already drilled, and tapped for it.

so i could just screw in the knock sensor and wire it to the ecu? or is there more to it?
