already searched, most if not all threads ended up with everyone telling the guy to get a chipped 0bd1. I would do that in a heartbeat if i could, but i have an obd2 auto, which can not be easily converted to obd1.
Current setup:
NA y7/y8 minime
crower stg 2 na cam
future plan:
zc pistons
+misc stuff here and there, but thats the main idea.
What exactly can i not do with the e-manage ultimate that can be done with crome/uber?
The ultimate version directly controls the injecters and ignition correct? not modify map signal vafc style.
The table still displays in airflow vs rpm like crome? part throttle tuning?
Will this unit take my plx300 wideband?

why can't you convert to OBD1? the p28 was available with an auto trans.

obd2 and obd1 auto trannys are completely different, different tcm, obd1 ecu will not run obd2 tranny, even with conversion harness. My only option is to swap tranny if i want to run obd1. But lets pretend my tranny is welded to the engine, and this is my only option. (standalones like hondata wont work with auto) Is the emanage really that inferior to crome?

like i said, obd1 will not run my tranny no matter what harness. I know they make auto obd2 - obd1, but you're also required to change the tranny.

that only applies for a regular vafc, like the apex'i vafc, field boxer.....etc. Where the unit manipulates the MAP signal, and the unit will change BOTH fuel and ignition. Also the MAP signal has it limits, you can only add or subtract so much with the vafc.
The e-manage does not alter the MAP input signal(although there is an option for it). It directly changes the injector signal and ignition. So it actually adds/subtract from whatever the ecu sends out. That's what vafc are ADVERTISED to do, but they cant do it w/o affecting ignition. But the e-manage can adjust the fuel and ignition separately w/o affecting one another. Theoreticly, there's no limit on how much the unit can add or subtract (up to the injector's and ignition's limit of course)

if you really have your heart set on proving all of us wrong then get emanage. but a manual trans is going to make you car faster and easier to tune.

I'm not set on proving you guys wrong, it's just when the point is obviously not true, i cant use it to help me decide against it. There are features i know it lacks, like full throttle launch or shift(doesnt matter to me for now), or any kind of rev limit adjustment.
manual trans will be on the to do list maybe a year later, but is not an option for me right now.

then just wait. it's not worth the price tag for a car that's not going to get into the 16s

For what you'll pay for the eManage you can be pretty far into a 5 speed swap if not have everything.
