I am working on a little project with a y8 intake manifold. I am planning on mounting the 2-wire manual y8 version EACV on the firewall. I have intalled two 1/4" brass fittiings in place of where the EACV mounts on the back of the manifold with JBWeld. Ill run two vac hoses to the eacv which will also be modified with vac fittings epoxied into a 3"x2" peice of aluminum plate. The Eacv then mounts to the alum. plate like it would on the back of the manifold. Has anyone else tried anything like this? The manifold has been ported for a B18c throttle body and was originally automatic version y8 IM.
