My Deltagate is a piece of shit(arnt they all). I changed my old ssautocrome mani out for a rev hard. Now wastegate is stuck at 4psi when it was at 8. I adjusted the top screw all the way down for max psi on that spring. The boost doesnt budge. As a last resort I did the fish tank valve trick. Still boost was planted at 4psi WTF! I checked for leaks in the charge piping and found nothing. I dont understand why it would be stuck. Any Ideas???? http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f89/chasetheskate/chaseshand039.jpg

get a new wastegate spring. I had the same problem and it was making me crazy trying to find out what it is. They had put a cheap spring in it. I got a tial 38mm 7 psi spring and it fixed the problem. but mine wouldnt go past 2PSI. let me know if it works.

your spring has gotten weak...I had the same thing a long time ago...it eventually just wore out...kinda sucks but you get what you pay for and that looks like an OLD turbonetics wg..

I agree with them, try the spring or just get a Tial wastegate for sure.

i rather run an ebay wastegate over a deltagate. thats what i run without any spikes. just make sure to inspect the diaphram inside to see if its kinked or not.

I wouldn't trust the deltagate 2. I've read so many cases where they didn't open, spiked and destroyed engines for me to trust them...

Put it this way, the wastegate is sitting on your exhaust manifold... the hottest part of the car. Any defective/poor quality components will fail after a while in those conditions.
Don't skimp on the gate!

if you were really broke you could just run a MBC, just turn it up til it starts opening at 8psi again. But the Tial would be the best idea....

Try switching the spring out for another, my buddy ran a delta and had zero problems...

Yea so I just decided that Im going to buy a tial 38mm. Throw the Deltagate in the trash. Thanks for all the help!:grin:

i am running an ebay... but when the money comes in it will go out. its such a critical peace that needs to function correctly, 100% of the time!

I ran many Deltagates with no problems what so ever. You probably have an exhaust leak before the turbo or a boost leak.
